makes 4
1/2 cup flour (can use whole wheat)
pinch of salt
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 tsp oil
Mix flour and salt. Add water and knead. Add oil. Knead more.
Let sit 5-10 minutes.
Separate dough into 4 equal sizes. Roll into flat balls with hands. Flatten with rolling pin and use lots of flour so they don't stick. Make them tortilla size, very flat.
Heat iron pan/skillet to medium heat. Cook approximately 1 minute or until there are brown and bubbly spots on the bottom. Flip and repeat. Press around edges to make tortilla puff up.
Remove from heat. If desired, brush immediately with butter.
Store in a sealed contained.
