Vanilla Soy Latte
What you'll need:
An espresso machine OR stove top espresso maker OR a coffee press
Milk Frother (if you don't have a milk frother, a wire whisk works just as well)
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cup of Silk Vanilla Light (or plain soy milk, prompting you to add your own vanilla extract - just as yummy)
Espresso grounds (strong brewed coffee works just as well if you don't have espresso)
A 1 oz Shot Glass (something i'm sure every university student has an abundance of)
Cinnamon
Directions:
Prepare enough espresso to fill the shot glass twice. Follow the directions of your espresso machine, stove top espresso maker, or coffee press carefully!
Heat up the soy milk via stove top or microwave until it’s at a temperature you are comfortable drinking.
Once heated, froth the soy milk to desired foaminess. If using a manual frother you may have to froth about 1/2 a cup at a time (if you're using a whisk, it'll take a little elbow grease to get the same kind of froth a frother creates, however if you own a *product placement* magic bullet, just use the whipping blade and you're good to go!)
Then simply pour frothed soy milk and two shots of espresso into serving mug and sprinkle cinnamon overtop.
This makes a 12-14 oz soy latte.
I drink a lot of coffee and make my own lattes, however this recipe isn't mine. I got it from http://ecoetsy.com/ and it's basically what i do to satisfy my coffee cravings. And of course, if you don't like soy milk, plain old cow's milk is just as delicious!
