3/4 cup Crisco or other shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can cherry pie filling
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1. Preheat over to 350F. Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1inch pan.
2. Combine Crisco, eggs, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well-blended.
3. Combine flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in pie filling and chocolate chips. Spread in pan.
4. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly brrowned and top springs back when lightly pressed. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
